Gel Polish:

The aims of this Gel Polish course are to teach students the protocols to safely and competently perform a Gel Polish treatment—whether this is a Manicure or Pedicure. No prior knowledge surrounding Gel is assumed.; however, it is expected that students will have an understanding of how to perform basic Manicures and/or Pedicures, the anatomy of the nail, and the various skin types/conditions common within the industry as pre- requisite to enrolling on this course. The benefits of Gel, its application, maintenance and removal, relevant contra-indications and contra-actions, hygiene, health and safety, consultation, and aftercare will be covered.
Students will be able to offer these treatments to paying clients as a standalone treatment for either fingernails or toenails, which can also be added on to a Manicure or Pedicure as an upgrade.
