VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Microdermabrasion:
1 Day | £300
The aims of this Microdermabrasion course are to teach students the movements and techniques required to safely and competently perform a Microdermabrasion treatment. No prior knowledge is assumed; however, it is expected that students will have a facial qualification as a pre-requisite to taking this course. The techniques, benefits, relevant contra- indications and contra-actions, hygiene, health and safety, room preparation, consultation, and aftercare will be covered.
Microdermabrasion is a hugely versatile treatment, and can be a modality added onto treatments within an existing treatment menu or exist as a standalone treatment. The length of treatment time can be adapted to suit your workplace and clients’ needs. This course equips students with the knowledge of how to safely and competently perform a facial microdermabrasion treatment, and which treatments this popular modality can be combined with.
In addition to learning Microdermabrasion, you will also complete the following three units:
- Client Care and Communication in Beauty-Related Industries
- Monitor and Maintain Health and Safety Practice in the Salon
- Physiology of Ageing
Please see below for assessment requirements for each constituent unit.
Please note that, with any VTCT qualification, you may be chosen by the External Examiner and External Quality Assurance to have work sampled and/or your practice observed. To complete the qualification and receive certification, you MUST attend should you be called.
